Georg Jensen HK pitcher 1.9 Litres

001

Relaunched in 2008 to coincide with master designer Henning Koppel’s 90th birthday, this pitcher from the Masterpieces Collection revisits Georg Jensen’s original silver hollowware.

Koppel (amongst the most highly regarded of Jensen’s designers) played an important role in influencing the signature look of Jensen himself, especially in the second half of the 20th century.

Henning Koppel trained as a sculptor before turning his attention to jewellery, hollowware and cutlery. This pitcher is one of his most celebrated designs and dates to 1952.

The pitcher is simply fashioned from polished stainless steel, with an elegantly extending handle and elongated lip lending it a sensuous fluidity.

The pitcher is the largest of the collection holding a volume of 1.9 Litres of fluid, and standing 33.5 cm high with a width of 15.5cm.

This is a new and undamaged item, although it does not come with the original box as it was a shop display piece.

Returns will be accepted within 30 days providing no damage has been caused.

The Wonderful world of Antiques

021I see trees of green,
red roses too.
I see them bloom,

And I think to myself,
what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow,

Are also on the faces,
Of people going by,
I see friends shaking hands.
Saying, “How do you do?”
They’re really saying,
“I love you”.

I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow,
They’ll learn much more,
Than I’ll ever know.
And I think to myself,
